IMM welcomes control engineering expert Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manuel Pusch as a new member
The IMM-Institute Council voted on January 20, 2025, to admit Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manuel Pusch as a new member. Prof. Pusch focuses on the modeling, control, and optimization of wind turbines, aerospace systems, and flexible structures. His theoretical interests include robust performance analysis, decoupling strategies, and model order reduction.

PhD candidates from the IMM Institute presented their research on AI-based wind forecasting, drone control, gust load mitigation and system identification at the AIAA SciTech 2025. The international conference provided valuable opportunities for exchange in aerospace research. A highlight was the rocket launch at Cape Canaveral.
Professors Sentpali and Pfeffer receive Research-Professorship
The Institute for Mobility and Life in Motion congratulates Professor Stefan Sentpali and Professor Peter Pfeffer on being awarded a research professorship, which was conferred upon them by Vice President Sonja Munz for their outstanding research activities. With the support of Munich University of Applied Sciences, IMM’s research activities will be strengthened, and the institute’s future initiatives will be promoted.
2024 IMM Launch: A Successful Inaugural Year!
Founded in 2024, IMM brings together the expertise of 10 professors specializing in vehicle technology, aeronautical engineering, electrical engineering, and design across 3 faculties. With 20 doctoral researchers and staff, new project proposals have been submitted, and publications released. A remarkable start to an innovative first year!
