
IMM welcomes control engineering expert Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manuel Pusch as a new member

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manuel Pusch is a new member of the Institute for Mobility and Life in Motion. The IMM-Institute Council voted for his admission on January 20, 2025. Prof. Pusch has been a professor at Munich University of Applied Sciences since September 2022. Prior to that, he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Electrical, Computer & Energy Engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder, USA. Between July 2013 and June 2021, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of System Dynamics and Control at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Oberpfaffenhofen.
Research Focus and Outlook
Prof. Pusch specializes in the modeling, control, and optimization of wind turbines, aerospace systems, and flexible structures. His theoretical interests include robust performance analysis, decoupling strategies, and model order reduction. With his expertise, he will enhance IMM's research on complex systems and innovative control techniques.
