Professors Sentpali and Pfeffer receive Research-Professorship
19. December 2024.
The Institute for Mobility and Life in Motion warmly congratulates Professor Stefan Sentpali and Professor Peter Pfeffer on being awarded a research professorship. This recognition was granted to them by Vice President for Research and Knowledge Transfer, Professor Sonja Munz, for their outstanding research activities.
With the support of Munich University of Applied Sciences, the 2024 founded IMM institute is further strengthened through new capacities for conducting research. The university is thus specifically promoting future projects and developments of the institute.
Professor Stefan Sentpali, scientific director of IMM, conducts research in the fields of acoustics and noise reduction, technical mechanics and dynamics, as well as ride comfort and vibrations. He also leads the Master’s program in Engineering Acoustics and is the chairman of the Education Committee at the German Society for Acoustics (DEGA e.V.).
Professor Peter Pfeffer, also a member of IMM, focuses on research in vehicle dynamics, automotive engineering, ride comfort, vibrations, and automated driving. Another key area of his research is the modeling and characterization of chassis and steering systems with hardware-in-the-loop technologies. He is also the CEO of the affiliated institute MdynamiX AG.
IMM congratulates both scientists on this well-deserved recognition!
