Farewell for Prof. Marion Kießling

At the most recent meeting of the IMM Institute Council, Prof. Marion Kießling was formally welcomed into retirement. As a co-founder of the institute, she played a key role in shaping its direction and was an early advocate for establishing design as a strong and visible field of research.

A central example of her commitment is the project EILT – Influence-Reduced Inner-City Air Transport Technology, part of the Bavarian State Government’s Holistic Air Mobility Initiative. The project aims to derive local airflow conditions from large-scale meteorological data in order to enable safe flight paths for emerging forms of urban air mobility.

With her expertise in ergonomics, Marion Kießling contributed an essential design-driven perspective to this research. The IMM expresses its sincere gratitude for her impactful contributions and wishes her all the best in her retirement.
