Brake-HiL
Brake Hardware-in-the-Loop test bench for model-based development of braking systems for electric vehicles and autonomous vehicles
For the required new braking systems and driving functions of electric vehicles and automated vehicles, a Brake Hardware-in-the-Loop (Brake-HiL) test bench with test automation and objective and subjective evaluation is to be developed. This Brake-HiL should be flexible enough to operate with different real-time systems. Regarding interfaces, the Brake-HiL should be optimally designed for model-based development of the braking system and automated longitudinal driving functions. A key component is the integration with the evaluation system MXeval. This enables objective assessment with Key Performance Indicators for driving maneuvers, such as braking in curves or automated longitudinal control. The MXeval app allows for subjective evaluation by test drivers and customers. The integration of the Brake-HiL with driving simulators enables the subjective experience of braking feel combined with objective evaluation without a vehicle. This facilitates a much more efficient and resource-saving development of vehicles and offers great market potential.
