Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Dauberschmidt is Professor for Building Materials Science and Structural Conservation at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Applied Sciences in Munich and Head of the Laboratory for Building Materials (since April 2009). Previously, he was employed as a project and team leader at the engineering firm Prof. Schießl Gehlen Sodeikat GmbH from 2005 to 2009. As a research assistant at the Institute for Building Research at RWTH Aachen University, he wrote his doctoral thesis on "Chloride-induced corrosion of steel fibers in concrete". From 1995 to 1998, he was project manager at the structural and object planning office IBTB in Berlin.
He completed his civil engineering studies at the Technical University of Munich (1989-1994) and was awarded the Hans Scholz Prize. Since 2010 Christoph Dauberschmidt is a partner of the engineering company Prof. Dauberschmidt und Vestner mbH.
