Simulation modeling of PV systems in low voltage networks according to grid codes
The research project "Fuchstal leuchtet," leveraging insights from LINDA 2.0, examines how stable grid operation can be achieved in an exclusively converter-based network.
The focus is on frequency and voltage stability without reliance on extensive network communication. A key research component is the interaction between grid-forming and grid-following inverters, especially photovoltaic (PV) units in the low voltage (LV) grid. Due to varied commissioning dates and grid codes, these PV systems are crucial for the simulation model. This paper introduces a PV simulation model, validated with field measurement data, to enable the integration of diverse PV systems with distinct normative behaviors into simulated networks.
