Prof. Dr.-Ing. Klemens Rother is Professor for Structural Analysis and Structural Integrity, Lightweight Design and Concept Development of Mechanical Structures at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Munich University of Applied Sciences (since 03/2008). He is related to the Laboratory for Mathematics and Engineering Mechanics MTM and head of the Master's program Computational Engineering.

Klemens Rother completed his studies in mechanical engineering at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. As a Fulbright scholar he studied mechanics and biomechanics at the Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. He wrote his dissertation on computational life estimation of non-proportional stresses at the University of Dortmund, Germany.

Klemens Rother has 24 years of professional experience in technical and management positions in industry especially in the areas of structural integrity TRANSRAPID, development and qualification of medical devices, computational services, CAE software development and development of knowledge-based systems.
