Challenge Start in Summer Semester
20. April 2020.
This semester the Digital Transformation Lab is facing a special challenge, as the Corona crisis affects its work in an unprecedented way and impacts the work of teachers and students alike. Some practical projects had to be cancelled and individual courses have been postponed.
Nevertheless, the DTLab is giving its best and works on six different challenges during this summer semester. Two of the challenges are not tied to classroom teaching, as they are a thesis and a research project. For the other challenges, the DTLab is working together with the lecturers and partners of the public sector to offer them as online formats, at least for the time of the crisis.
The topics range from a system to count bees to the development of apps to make it easier for citizens to access scarce resources or to find virtual access to cultural assets. That way some of the teams are already addressing current problems arising in the Corona crisis.
Among the partners actively involved in the challenges are the City of Munich and the Bavarian Forest National Park.
