Making Museums More Attractive

20. April 2020.

The question "How could we increase the attractiveness of a museum for its visitors?" was the focus of a challenge that the DTLab carried out together with the Co-Innovation Lab of the Faculty of Business Administration at HM.

Within the framework of the course "Projects in Digital Business" (held in English language), four students, in cooperation with the Cultural Department of the City of Munich, created a prototype for a museum application that adapts to the individual needs of its users. Personalized tours can be planned according to the interests of the respective users. DTLab partner Amazon Web Services (AWS) supported the challenge with a practical introduction to the "Working Backwards" innovation process. The results were presented to the City of Munich, which is now considering whether to develop them further.
