Reading App against Crime

KonTEXT is a student-run initiative at HM that aims to motivate previously convicted young people, showing them ways out of crime through reading, and reducing their recidivism rate in the process. In addition, their ability to reflect and their personal development will be developed. In our DTLab challenge, students from the Business Administration program at HM were looking for ways to support KonTEXT’s work in the digital world with support by AWS. The solution they presented is an app called "ReadUp". It motivates users to read and learn in a fun way and allows them to view their progress and compare their own success with others. Various Amazon Web Services were used for its implementation.
