Success Stories of Our MAPR Alumni
Our Research Master's (MAPR) in Sustainable Energy Systems has profoundly impacted the career paths of many of our former students. Here, you can read how the MAPR has influenced their professional development:
Alexander Reiter, Development Engineer at Everllence (formerly MAN Energy Solutions):
“I work in the field of batteries and hybrid systems for maritime and stationary applications to advance the decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors. The MAPR allowed me to engage intensively with my subject over an extended period, laying the foundation for my specialization in energy storage technology. The significant freedom to shape my Master’s also helped me in this regard."
Dr.-Ing. Sonja Baumgartner, Electrical Engineer and Project Manager at LEW Verteilnetz GmbH:
“My focus is on managing flexibilities such as heat pumps and electric vehicles at low voltage, to further optimize the reliability of the power grid. The MAPR gave me my first insight into research. This allowed me to establish many connections in science and industry, from which I still benefit today.”
David Rampl, Project Engineer for Energy and Heating Projects at IEP Innovative Energie für Pullach GmbH:
“I oversee a large deep geothermal project from tendering through implementation to commissioning and operation. My research master (MAPR) provided me with an up-to-date case study and the context of the energy transition on site through energy system modeling, simulation of (real-existing, communal) energy cells, and research into cross-sector prosumers. I am thrilled to be part of such an important project and witness the impact of the heating transition here in Pullach.”
