Introducing: Prof. Dr. Christoph Hackl - one of the founding professors of the ISES
Today in portrait: Prof. Dr. Christoph Hackl
Christoph Hackl is a professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at HM.
❓ What motivated you to do your research?
I am very curious and thirsty for knowledge. I want to understand things from the ground up and find the best possible (technical) solutions to get the most out of mechatronic and renewable energy systems, such as electric vehicles or wind turbines, in terms of range or wind energy.
❓ What innovations do you want to promote with your research?
I want to maximise the reliability, efficiency and functionality of mechatronic and renewable energy systems with modern design, regulation and control methods, such as multi-criteria optimisation, artificial intelligence or adaptive and self-learning processes.
❓ What areas of application do you want to open up with this?
I want to develop intelligent components that can be operated in a self-learning, fault-tolerant and optimised manner in order to equip higher-level systems, such as the electrical energy system, with the necessary functionality to make the energy transition a success.
