How to control the demand for electricity in the home?

By using local grid status data and the flair module, these plants can adapt power consumption to the availability of renewable energies. The goal is to use the existing power grid more efficiently and reduce peak loads.

The flair module, an intelligent control box, regulates a household's energy consumption based on consumption patterns and current energy availability. It uses information about the current state of the network and the amount of renewable energy available to efficiently manage consumption. This dynamic adjustment of consumption achieves optimal use of the available energy. The flair module makes it possible to adjust energy consumption to conditions in real time, ensuring smarter and more sustainable use of electricity. A field trial was conducted in Bavarian Swabia and Berlin, where 74 households were equipped with the Flair Module.
