Method for determining a power fraction, operating method, control unit, energy storage device and power grid

A patent by our Prof. Oliver Bohlen and our Dr. Markus Mühlbauer

The invention relates to a method for determining a relative power share of an electrical energy storage device of an energy storage arrangement of a plurality of electrical energy storage devices, an operating method for an electrical energy storage arrangement with a plurality of electrical energy storage devices, a control unit for an energy storage arrangement and/or for an electricity grid, an energy storage arrangement with a plurality of electrical energy storage devices, and an electricity grid, in particular a local electricity grid or a microgrid.

In the context of electrical power supply networks, energy storage arrangements with a plurality of electrical energy storage units, for example in the form of batteries and the like, are also used, among other things. The respective electrical energy storage devices can be very different in terms of their configuration, capacity, but also due to their age and state of charge compared to each other. At the same time, quite different requirements are placed on such an energy storage arrangement and on an electrical energy supply network as a whole, depending on the time. This relates quite generally to the aspect of power demand, whether this is a demanded power to supply energy to a load or an offered power from a power source, for example from a generator, to charge the individual energy storage devices.
