NAOTILUS - University-Based Business Start-Up
The start-up NAOTILUS, in which Prof. Simon Schramm acted as mentor, receives an EXIST-Founder's scholarship.
The NAOTILUS team consisting of Rupert Wieser, Mona Diesmann and Marc Hager are currently developing NAOTILUS NAO, which is an innovative modular expandable platform for collaborative technical management of district heating systems. They enable engineers and technicians without programming knowledge to expand the platform as needed and to implement complex operational data evaluations for which, without NAOTILUS NAO, IT specialists would be necessary. Users of the platform can use algorithms specially developed for district heating to monitor the performance and condition of their system components automatically and in real time, and optimize them if necessary.
The maintenance and optimization of district heating systems are costly business processes. With NAOTILUS NAO heating supply companies increase the performance of their systems, maximize security of supply and permanently improve the quality of maintenance.
"We are very excited about the upcoming time as full-time founders and are grateful to get the opportunity to contribute to more sustainability and efficiency in energy supply. Not only do we want to found a successful startup, but we also want to make a contribution to society as a whole to solve one of the most important issues of our generation: the climate crisis. Our special thanks go to our mentor Prof. Dr.-Ing. Simon Schramm, our start-up coach Jana Hollmann and all the other supporters who helped us get closer to our goals. - Team NAOTILUS
