Currently, many companies are facing a new challenge. Due to the increasingly noticeable effects of climate change, more and more citizens are concerned with their own ecological footprint. To keep it as low as possible, sustainable action is required in all areas of life. This includes not only leisure time, consumption and travel, but also one's own work. If a company values environmentally conscious business practices, it must therefore present this credibly to its applicants.

GridX, a German company that specialises in dynamic load management and intelligent energy management, has turned this topic into a challenge in cooperation with the DTLab. The company asked students of the courses business administration and computer science at Munich University of Applied Sciences to collect ideas for the implementation of a sustainability dashboard on their own website. This should provide transparency for applicants and employees and enable both to better identify with the company in the future. The student team was able to successfully complete the task and presented a prototype as well as various design proposals for the dashboard at the end of the challenge. During the challenge, the students received support from AWS.
