Platform for Munich's Volunteers

03. November 2020.

The City of Munich is hoping to better support non-profit organizations, and to connect volunteers with them. So it assigned a team of students from the Department for Engineering and Management at Munich University of Applied Sciences to design a solution as part of a DTLab challenge. The challenge was a continuation of the "Capacity Finder" challenge, which ran in the previous semester. With the support of Amazon Web Services and the "Working Backwards" method, the students designed a web application for a platform that would enable organizations to publish their offers for volunteering and allow citizens to easily find them and collect bonus points with each engagement.

The full report on the Challenge can be found here.
