App development with AI-based features

Lern-Fair e.V. is a Germany-based non-profit organization dedicated to educational equality. Since its founding in 2020, they have been providing free, high-quality educational support to disadvantaged students on a fully digital platform. The method connects students with volunteer tutors. To date, over 15,000 learning pairs have been matched.

The current app development of the learning platform offers various questions on topics such as live homework help, a support chatbot, a forum, a way to share teaching material or an onboarding tour.

Students in the 4th semester of Computer Science and Design are working on solutions in the "Mobile Applications" course together with the teacher and the support of Lern-Fair.

As part of the conception phase, the student teams each consider and specify an AI-based feature that offers added value in the respective application.

The results will be published here at the end of the semester.
