Voice Assistants for Dementia Patients

08. April 2021.

Due to population trends, the number of elderly people will increase sharply in the coming years. Together with an increase in life expectancy, the number of people suffering from dementia is rising. The Alzheimer Gesellschaft München e.V. cares for these people and, together with DTLab, Amazon Web Services and HM students, organized a challenge with the goal of enabling people with dementia to live independently for as long as possible, supported by technology. The ideas that the students presented in the form of digital prototypes show how voice assistants can help dementia patients in their everyday lives.

The full report on the challenge can be found here.
